<description>from time to time i send a missile outthrough the website mailing listinevitablyfifty or so of them bounce back spat out by various spam filtersand nowthe site has decided i can only send 500 at a timeso i have to find the cutoff point on the list to send out another batch tomorrowall too hard.so heres what i wrotein case anybody here is interested...hello everybodyits been a fabulous year so far with lots of interesting journeys classes to teach and nice people to meet  and it isnt showing signs of slowing down any time soonive recently had work shown in Paris at Trend Union and published in Bloom magazine visit Edelkoort.com  if youd like to secure a copythe manuscript of second skin is in the hands of Toyoko Sugiwaka my favourite book designer who is creating magic around the words and images so i think it will be a beautiful object as much as being i hope useful. <description>over the years teaching has given me a great deal of pleasure so ive been thinking about ways of giving back to my many studentsim pondering a number of rather longterm projects inspired by the research i did for second skin the book that will be published next year into boro and kantha textiles as well as furoshiki wrapping cloths and ideas of making do lost and found and make do and mendthe first project will focus on cloth the subsequent project on paperit will involve windfall dyeing stitching and the nurturing of community between the mostly sisters who like to meet over dyepotsinitially through the distribution of materials a stitching project with online support and a series of celebrations over dyepots  and then weekend workshops in which we come together to dye the stitched pieces share a feast    and enjoy the unbundling of work which will be photographed at the end of the day in due course i am hoping it will result in a book featuring the work of each participant discussing...</description>
